Terms of use
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms cover this website and the free call. Work we do for you beyond that is covered by a separate written agreement.
What we provide
Level & True provides independent, general guidance to help homeowners understand their situation and their options. It is general in nature. It does not take account of everything about your project, your contract or your circumstances, and it is not a substitute for advice from a professional who is engaged to give it.
We are not a law practice
We are not a law practice and we do not provide legal advice. Nothing on this site and nothing said on a call is legal advice, and no solicitor and client relationship is created by using this site or by talking to us. If you need legal advice, speak to a solicitor. We will tell you honestly when we think you are at that point.
We are not building inspectors
We are not licensed building inspectors and we do not provide defect, structural or building compliance reports. Nothing we give you is a report you can rely on in a tribunal or a court, or hand to an insurer as an expert opinion. If you need a building inspection, engage a licensed inspector.
No outcome is promised
We cannot and do not promise any particular outcome on your renovation or build. We do not promise that a builder, trade or other party will do anything, that money will be recovered, or that a dispute will resolve in any particular way. What you do with our guidance is your decision.
Nothing here is confidential in law
Because we are not a law practice, what we write for you is generally not covered by legal professional privilege, and it may have to be produced in a dispute. We write on that basis: we set out facts, dates and what is missing. Keep it in mind when you decide what to send us.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of this site or from general guidance given on a free call, including any decision you make in reliance on it. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit liability for a service, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
This site
We keep this site accurate but we do not promise it is complete or current, and we may change it at any time. Content on this site belongs to Level & True.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
